HOLBURNE’S THREE COMPANIONS // 2025

Three Companions is a non-linear AR and Sound Experience for The Holburne Museum in Bath, UK. It was presented during Play the Museum IV as part of Party in the City 2025.
Following collector William Holburne’s childhood story through an imagined letter to his mother, written during his time on the HMS Orion, we embark on a speculative psychoanalytical journey through the lens of three pcket-sized emblematic objects, similar to those he would go on to collect in his adult life.
For the experience, a series of items from the collection were 3D scanned and manipulated to create ‘new artefacts’.
